				A K-9 matching gift program ran from October 15- November 15, 2005. The department raised $7,221 and NACOP matched $5,000 for a total grant amount of $12,221.
				July 25, 2003 - Sergeant Scott Wilson, Assistant Police Chief of Prosperity, South Carolina (pop. 1,500) was on hand to receive a $4,300 grant from the National Association of Chiefs of Police (NACOP) to use for the purchase and training of the city's first police K-9 who will provide narcotics detection and search and rescue operations. This grant arose from NACOP's K-9 Program that provides funding obtained from across the United States to departments to add a dog to an existing program or obtain their first K-9.
