| The Proctor Police Department acquired a police dog named "Dani" in order to address the drug issues within the city and surrounding communities. K-9 Dani and Officer Doug Bolander completed the basic Narcotics Detection Dog Training from the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office. However, they were still need of funds for training equipment, vehicle modifications, veterinary expenses, food and related expenses. Because of budget constraints the department had to raise the funds themselves. They hoped to raise at least $5,000 dollars through the matching gift program. Support of this program is an investment in our community. Having a K9 unit on-call brings an extra measure of confidence to our citizens and discourages some of our criminal element from being active in our community. | ||||||||||
