About Us
The National Association of Chiefs of Police, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in Florida in May 1967. The Association was organized for educational and charitable activities for law enforcement officers in command ranks and supervisory agents of state & federal law enforcement agencies as well as leaders in the private security sector. NACOP also provides funding to small departments, officers and the family of those officer’s paralyzed and disabled in the line of duty.

As a place where science, nature, technology and fun come together in a near perfect climate, Florida’s Space Coast offers an ideal setting for the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum, the headquarters of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE. Located 35 miles from Orlando, the Space Coast has a thriving economy. Major industries include technology, government, healthcare and tourism.
1.3 million tourists visit the Space Coast each year. Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, the Astronaut Hall of Fame, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the Brevard Zoo are just a few of the more than 20 cultural and educational organizations on the Space Coast. Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are only a short drive away.
