Community Involvement
The K-9
Matching Gift program was launched on April 1, 2003. This program is
designed so that a selected law enforcement agency works together with
the local community in the fundraising effort, which we believe
strengthens the relationship between the agency and the community. Both
businesses and individuals have taken advantage of the opportunity to
help sponsor a K-9 within their local community. Once the funding for
the K-9 has been accomplished, these same people have the opportunity
to see firsthand the benefits of their contribution, not only in crime
prevention and intervention but also in the role the K-9 has in
community education and public relations.
