On behalf of the Cocoa Police Department I would like to thank you for taking time to learn more about NACOP's K-9 Matching Gift Program.
The Cocoa Police Department was in desperate need of a police K-9.
Until recently the department was staffed with three K-9s assigned to the patrol division. This provided the citizens and visitors of Cocoa with 24-hour a day K-9 service. However, we have recently been forced to retire one of our K-9s and have suffered the tragic loss of life to an additional K-9.
The Cocoa Police Department along with NACOP's matching gift of $5,000 raised a total of $18,147.54. Because of the donors to this program we were able to fund an additional K9 Unit. Thank you.
