Calhoun, Tennessee is located between Knoxville and Chattanooga. Interstate 75 and Highway 11 pass near Calhoun and facilitate a stream of drug traffic. With a town population of 600, the department did not have the funds to purchase a K-9. In May, 2009 the state of Tennessee shut down the entire Police Department.
